Energy efficient ventilation with up to 91% heat recovery
The HRU ECO 4 – our continuous mechanical supply and extract ventilation system with heat recovery (MVHR) – removes contaminated, wet air from kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms, then provides fresh, pre-heated air to other areas of the home. At the same time, it will divert up to 91% of heat from the air on its way out of the building into the incoming supply.
The HRU ECO 4 keeps householders comfortable all year round. Its 100% summer bypass valve diverts incoming air away from the heat exchanger to prevent warm outside air being further heated, thereby reducing the risk of overheating the property. In the winter months, a frost protection device prevents the unit from freezing. And all this takes place using less energy than that required by intermittent fans. So householders will breathe not only cleaner air, but a sigh of relief when the electricity bill comes in too. The HRU ECO 4 is suitable for airtight properties with a habitable floor area of up to 175 metres.
