Itho shower heat recovery units take heat from discharged waste shower water to heat the incoming supply of cold mains water to the shower inlet. This preheating of the mains supply reduces the amount of hot water required for each shower – so householders can enjoy longer showers from the same amount of hot water. Ensuring greater user comfort together with lower energy consumption too.
Itho has two models of shower heat recovery to choose from. The SHRU 60 is produced from copper and recovers approximately 60% of the energy from the shower waste water. The SHRU 50 model is produced from aluminium and recovers approximately 50% of energy that would otherwise be lost. Both of these maintenance-free units can be installed in existing as well as new homes.
